I am a SSHRC* postdoctoral fellow at Florida International University.

My research interests largely focus on educators who cross borders to work in foreign contexts (e.g., post-conflict/emerging state/developed nation). In particular, I examine how social perceptions of their gender and sexual identity shift in the new work context and explore some of the implications on their professional practices, relations and learning. I include policy analyses and intercultural considerations to expand my understanding on this topic.
