About
My research agenda involves the study of racial/ ethnic minority sexual scripting processes across multiple contexts. My research seeks to identify socio cultural and psychological factors influencing differential sexual health outcomes, including HPV uptake, HIV/ AIDS, non- voluntary sex, and sexual violence. I conduct studies examining the development of attitudes about sexual health and, in turn, how these attitudes inform sexual behavioral outcomes. Further, my work explores the trajectories of these risk taking behaviors both within and across diverse populations.
Currently, I am working on research projects examining varied cultural meanings of risk taking behaviors associated with HPV vaccination uptake and intimate partner violence among racial/ ethnic minority populations.
